Mr. Mutagaya Solomon  Alex  is a, professional Chemical Engineer, Researcher (Google Scholar),a Board Member and Co-Founding Director at Bouyant Quality Management Synergy Ltd, Director of Operations at Fortalex Uganda Limited and the Proprietor of Charming Foods Enterprises. His diverse knowledge in Business, Engineering and Quality Management Systems comes with a great deal of Expertise and Strategic Positioning in the Consultancy Business. He possesses over 9 years of experience, with 2 years served in the Pharmaceutical Industry and over 8 in the Steel Processing Industry as a Quality Assurance Manager.

He has in the past obtained Certifications in ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management Systems (EMS), ISO 45001:2018 – Principles of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems & Knowledge in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 international standards.

He is the Author of “Taming the Lion Inside You and Others” and “Africa’s Progress and the Ship of Theseus”

He is also a Senior Editor, Head of Graphics and Layout at The Atom Magazine a leading Chemical Engineers Magazine in East Africa. Under his leadership he saw to the Publication of First Issue of the Atom Magazine a very successful and outstanding achievement in the Chemical Engineering Fraternity in East Africa.

He is the Editor in Chief of The WEIRD Africa Magazine and senior Panelist at The WEIRD Africa Talk Show that publishes recorded sessions on a variety of Topics. WEIRD being an abbreviation of an Africa that is: Westernized, Educated, Industrialized, Rich and Democratic.

He is a Guest Columnist in The Daily Monitor, a leading Newspaper in Uganda, where he gives informed perspectives in the Manufacturing Industry, Energy, Sustainability, Environmental Conservation and different Areas that contribute to societal growth. He is also a Guest Columnist at The Scholar Media Africa a Kenya based Media House and Newspaper, that presents exclusive, factual, timely, and insightful stories on health, education, agribusiness, among other evergreen topical issues of human interest from local, national, and continental quarters.

Mr. Mutagaya, presently, serves as a  Quality Assurance Manager at KCL Group an Umbrella of Metal and Wood Industries Limited, a Steel Products Processing and Industrial Chemicals Industry. Also doubling as the Leading Chemical Process Engineer of the same Company’s Electroplating/Galvanization Division.

He formerly worked as a Production Officer at Abacus Parenteral Drugs Limited, a leading Parenteral Drugs Manufacturing Industry in East Africa.  He is Passionate  and Published Scientific Researcher and Author whose interests span in Investigative Scientific Studies, crafting Performance Predictive Models by use of Python Programming, Regressional Models and Statistical Data Analytics Tools within the Big Data Framework. 

He has recently teamed up with fellow researchers and together published a sequel of scientific articles. Including the recently Published and widely read Research Paper on “Investigation of Levels of some selected Heavy Metals in Raw Bovine Milk from Oyam District, Uganda and Estimation of Potential Risks” published in The American Journal of Applied and Industrial Chemistry, which was ground breaking and has since attracted a number of collaborations with fellow research scientists across the globe. Also published Investigation of Levels of Cyanide in Cassava Tubers Marketed in Kampala in American Journal of Applied Scientific Research 

He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management and A Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Accounting.

At Alison Institute of Advanced Learning, he majored in Web Business Development and Marketing, Big Data Analytics and Manufacturing & Product Design.
